LIST 24 - BURIALS - ST MATTHEWS WINDSOR

There were 7 burials performed at St Matthews in 1810. The  first burial  recorded
by Rev. Robert Cartwright was that of  convict's infant Roger Twyfield on 25th
March.

The information recorded for each burial is as follows:
               date
               family name
               Christian name
               age
civil status at time of death
               year and ship of arrival
               comments
               reference number

The burials are listed in chronological order.

The  Rev. Robert Cartwright performed all seven burials, he  made very complete
records of the deceased including age at death  and ship  of arrival or parents
(although not the maiden name of  the mother) and place of death if not from
the parish.

For  the colonial born their year of birth and parents names  are recorded in
the ship of arrival column.

The identity of all the deceased is known although the exact ship of arrival
of Private Mooney in 1809 is not recorded.

To  locate an entry on this list; firstly an alphabetical  search on the name
would be made on List 19 using code "SMW" from  which the  date  of  death  would
be  retrieved,  secondly  using  the appropriate date, the burial would then
be located on this list.
